Robert L. Carson, Jr. has almost forty-five years of experience in the insurance business, with more than thirty-five years spent specializing in the energy industry.  He remains an active broker keeping him current with the markets, the underwriters, and claims adjusters, as well as various policy forms and endorsements.  Being "in the loop" gives Mr. Carson a much greater depth of knowledge and experience to draw on for his clients, whether as a consultant, expert witness or a contract risk manager.

Mr. Carson is the Vice President of the Energy division of Higginbotham and Associates, a top 100 firm in the United States.  He has a keen understanding of the issues involving the energy industry and coverages for oil field operations.  He has experience handling over 300 blowouts and liability claims.  Robert L. Carson has been involved in numerous third-party liability claims and has developed an outstanding expertise in the liability exposures inherent in the energy business.

In 1971, Robert L. Carson wrote Lloyd's of London's first Well Control Policy that paid for redrilling a well after a blowout.  Later, he added coverages that today are standards in well control policies; such as, Care, Custody and Control, Priority of Payments and Evacuation Expense.
